Mr. Tucker has been a licensed attorney since 1993 and has concentrated his practice in the areas of securities, M&A, corporate finance and strategic planning. While Mr. Tucker has been instrumental in the formation and growth of numerous young businesses, including the development of business plans and early capital raising efforts, he has also represented a broad range of NYSE and NASDAQ listed companies.  He has also represented investment banking, private equity and venture capital firms, and has served as the lead attorney in numerous IPOs, private and public debt and equity raises and M&A transactions as counsel to the issuer, underwriter, acquirer or target. He has served as special assistant to the former chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission and served as president of a venture capital funded Silicon Valley technology company.  Mr. Tucker has significant "big firm" experience, most recently at Quarles & Brady LLP, a 450+ attorney international law firm, where Mr. Tucker served as chairman of the firm's Chicago Securities Group, chairman of the Firm's China Law Group, and founding and managing partner of its Shanghai, China office.

Since 2007 Mr. Tucker has spent almost three years in China on more than 20 business trips, and has represented American and Chinese clients in a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property transfers, real estate development projects and venture formations and funding.  Mr. Tucker has relationships in government and business circles in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Changsha, Shenyang, Congqing and Yibin.  He has lectured at the Shenzhen Bar Association as well as at several Chinese law firms on topics ranging from law firm organization and management to strategic business planning, acquisition structures and cross-cultural relationships.   

Mr. Tucker earned a B.A. from Michigan State University and a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.  He has served as an Adjunct Professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law since 2003, where he teaches MBA, JD and LLM level courses in venture capital and private equity, securities laws and investment banking.  Many of Mr. Tucker's students are partners at law firms in China, including partners at some of its largest law firms.
